Dear friends, I made this list for you. Please be cautious and safe. You know your limits, and your triggers. Always feel free to message me and I will reply to you as soon as I can. I recommend you read through everything listed regardless of your normal behavior, because I tried to refrain from repeating myself even if some things could have gone in multiple categories. To express pain and/or intense emotion (restlessness):
Scream very loudly.
Draw or scribble on paper with red ink or paint.
Scribble on a piece of paper until the entire page is black.
Scribble on people in magazines.
Throw something soft (ex: a pair of socks) against the wall.
Journal the feelings you’re experiencing. This could also take form in a song or poem.
Write down negative thoughts/feelings then proceed to tear the paper into pieces.
Tear apart magazines, newspapers, or photos.
Draw a picture of what is upsetting you.
Beat up a stuffed animal.
Build a pillow fort, proceed to destroy it like a dinosaur.
Stomp around in heavy shoes.
Play a sport.
Throw ice cubes at trees.
(Carefully, yet aggressively [CYA]) Cut up fruits. (Eat them if you want. Fruit is good. )
(CYA) Slash an old article of clothing, empty water bottle, stuffed animal etc.
Make a soft cloth doll to cut instead of yourself.
Yell about the crappy stuff that is making you angry.
(CYA) Buy a cheap plate and decorate it, then smash it.
Take a really hot or really cold shower.
Flatten aluminum cans.
When you’re feeling guilty, sad, or lonely:
Congratulate yourself on each minute you go without self harming.
Look at the sky.
Draw or paint.
Call a friend or family member.
Buy a cuddly toy.
Give someone a hug with a smile.
Put a face mask on.
Watch your favorite movie or show.
Eat something super sweet.
Remember a happy moment.
Plan your future adventures.
Sculpt with clay/playdough.
Play with a pet.
Let yourself cry.
Read the bible or pray.
Light a candle to watch the flame (Be careful.)
Carry tokens to remind you of special people, places, and things.
Take a bubble bath!
Curl up under a blanket with hot cocoa.

When you’re panicked or scared:
Take a bath or shower.
Cuddle a dog or cat.
Se hear and feel your surroundings, focus on detail.
Meditate or do yoga.
Hug a pillow.
Drink some calming tea.
Hug a tree.
Feel your pulse.
Try to catch butterflies, frogs, lizards etc.
Breathe in a pattern of: In 4, hold 2, out 4, hold 2.
Close your eyes and picture yourself somewhere you wan to be. (A happy place)
Take a nap.
When you want to feel pain:
Snap a rubber band against your wrist.
Wax your legs.
Pluck your eyebrows.
Clap your hands until it stings.
Hold salted ice. (Be very careful.)
For when you want to see blood or marks:
Use a marker, soft colored pencil, or lipstick to draw lines where you usually cut.
Mix red food coloring and Elmer’s glue, drag this across your skin. It will dry like scabs.
Drip red food coloring onto you skin. (Will temporarily stain.)

I’m going to start saying my soup tastes beautiful. I’m going to declare that warm sweaters feel gorgeous and chocolate smells pretty. I plan to describe wonderful music as cute and good memories as adorable because I want my friends to know that when I call them these things, I’m not just talking about how they look, and I’m not lying either.
